Story & Legends
Gather close. The lollipops are lit, and the oldest sweet tales of the kingdom are ready to be told once more.
The Origin Of The Candy Kingdom
Long ago, before the first sugar spire was raised, the land was nothing but endless plains beneath an endless sky. It is said that a wandering baker, lost and weary, knelt to drink from a hidden fizzing spring. As he drank, the bubbling water reflected not his tired face but a vision of a glittering city — towers of glazed candy, gardens of gumdrops, and lollipops that never dimmed.
He carried that vision in his heart for forty years, gathering bakers, dreamers and confectioners along the way. Together they raised the kingdom sweet by sweet, until the baker's vision stood real beneath the sprinkle-stars. They named it for the wonder it inspired, and to this day, every traveller who enters feels a spark of that first sweet dream.
Tales Of The Court
The Lollipop Of Embers
Among the kingdom's treats rests a small swirly lollipop that glows with a soft, living ember. Legend tells that the lollipop does not grant wishes, as some hope, but sweetness of spirit. Those who study the shifting swirls along its surface are said to leave with kindness they had not yet learned to give. Many have tried to claim it; only those of pure intention have ever unwrapped its light.
The Confectioner And The Sugar King
A clever confectioner once wagered the Sugar King that she could sell sugar to the dunes themselves. The King laughed and accepted. Within a month, the confectioner had convinced the entire court that a particular golden sugar, gathered only at dawn, brought good fortune. She sold it by the pouch and won her wager — but, being honest at heart, she returned every coin, asking only that the King remember that the rarest treat is a good story sweetly told.
The Wandering Gumdrop
On the clearest nights, a single gumdrop drifts apart from the others, moving slowly across the sky. The kingdom's children call it the Wandering Gumdrop, and they say it guides lost travellers home — but only those who travel with kindness in their hearts. Caravans have followed it across trackless sugar dunes and found, against all odds, the welcoming glow of the kingdom's gates.
The Sherbet Wells
Deep beneath the candy gardens lie the Sherbet Wells, springs whose fizzing waters shimmer with impossible blue. Those who gaze into them see not their reflection but their sweetest dream — the thing they most wish to become. The wells ask nothing in return, only that you remember what you saw and walk bravely toward it.
